Support Tinubu to Tackle National Challenges, Says Former Akwa Ibom Governor Udom Emmanuel

Former Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Udom Emmanuel, has urged Nigerians to rise above political, ethnic, and religious divides and rally behind President Bola Tinubu as the country grapples with mounting socioeconomic challenges.

Emmanuel made the call during an interactive session with journalists at the Pre-Service of Nine Lessons and Carol held on Sunday at the United Evangelical Church, Surulere, Lagos. A statement issued on Monday and made available to PUNCH Online highlighted his message of unity and national responsibility.

According to him, Nigeria is at a critical crossroads, and only a collective effort can prevent the situation from deteriorating further. He stressed that the nation’s challenges are bigger than partisan disagreements and require a unified front.

“This is not the time to dwell on factors that create divisions, the issues that expand the frontiers of our disagreements and further undermine our national unity,” Emmanuel said.

He urged citizens, regardless of political affiliation or religious background, to “pull together to confront our common enemies” by giving President Tinubu the full support needed to address the country’s pressing problems.

Emmanuel also encouraged the President to remain focused on implementing policies and reforms capable of steering Nigeria toward stability and good governance. He expressed confidence that with unity, determined leadership, and genuine national cooperation, the country can still rise above its challenges and achieve its true potential.
