Ex-PDP Spokesman Kola Ologbondiyan Formally Resigns From Party

Former National Publicity Secretary of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Kola Ologbondiyan, has officially bowed out of the party, ending a long-running chapter that saw him serve at some of the PDP’s highest communication and campaign levels.

In a letter posted on his X (Twitter) page and addressed to the PDP Chairman of Okekoko Ward (09) in Kabba/Bunu LGA of Kogi State, Ologbondiyan expressed gratitude to the party’s leadership for the trust and opportunities he enjoyed over the years. With that classic old-school courtesy vibe, he acknowledged how the platform enabled him to serve both the PDP and Nigeria.

But after what he called a personal review of his involvement, he decided it was time to pull the plug.

According to him, personal reasons shaped his decision to step away. In the letter dated December 5, 2025, he stated clearly that he was formally withdrawing his membership, wishing the party leadership well as he exited.

Ologbondiyan isn’t just any party member—he once led media publicity for the PDP’s 2019 Presidential Campaign Council and has deep roots in journalism. He also served as an aide to former Senate President David Mark, who now chairs the African Democratic Congress (ADC). So yeah, this move isn’t small potatoes—it’s a strategic repositioning from a veteran insider.

In corporate-speak?
He’s pivoting out of the PDP ecosystem to explore new high-value opportunities in the political marketplace.
