President Bola Tinubu has extended warm birthday wishes to the National Security Adviser, Malam Nuhu Ribadu, who turned 65, applauding him as a steadfast reformer and a pillar of Nigeria’s security and anti-corruption efforts.
In a statement released in Abuja by Presidential Spokesperson Bayo Onanuga, the president highlighted Ribadu’s long-standing reputation for integrity, discipline, and commitment to national service. Tinubu described Ribadu as a man whose principles have shaped key national institutions and strengthened Nigeria’s war against corruption.
Reflecting on their long friendship, Tinubu noted that their bond began over 15 years ago and has since deepened through mutual respect and shared national vision. He praised Ribadu’s pioneering role as the first Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), where he led bold reforms, championed accountability, and laid the foundation for modern anti-corruption processes in Nigeria.
He further hailed Ribadu’s contribution as a core member of the Renewed Hope Agenda team, calling him patriotic, loyal, and refreshingly straightforward — qualities Tinubu said are rare and invaluable in public service.
As Ribadu marks his 65th year, President Tinubu prayed for continued wisdom, sound health, and long life for the NSA, expressing hope that he would keep contributing to Nigeria’s peace, stability, and progress.
