Ondo Elders Movement Pledges 1.5 Million Votes for Tinubu in 2027

In the build-up to the 2027 presidential election, the Ondo State For Tinubu 2027 Elders Movement has declared its unwavering commitment to mobilize at least 1.5 million votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The pledge was made in a statement released by the Chairman of the Movement’s Steering Committee, Chief Jamiu Ekungba, who revealed that the group’s projection was based on a careful review of Ondo State’s voter data and past election results.

According to Chief Ekungba, the movement arrived at the 1.5 million target after evaluating the state’s population figures, voter registration records, and electoral outcomes from the last five election cycles. He stated that with a strong grassroots mobilization drive, robust voter education, and increased registration turnout, the target is not only achievable but realistic.

“The APC Elders Forum, after reviewing Ondo State’s population data, voter registration figures, and the results of the last five elections, concluded that with robust voter registration drives and sustained voter education, Ondo can deliver at least 1.5 million votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027,” Ekungba said.

The Ondo For Tinubu 2027 Elders Movement operates under the strategic guidance and directive of Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, whose vision for the initiative centers on unity, loyalty, and continuity within the All Progressives Congress (APC). The organizational structure of the movement includes Pa. Senator Farunkanmi as Steering Committee Chair and eight other senior members forming the Executive Working Committee.

Chief Ekungba also confirmed that Governor Aiyedatiwa has granted formal approval for the group’s operations, including the use of the name “Ondo For Tinubu 2027 Elders Movement.” The Governor’s campaign office, located at 12 Oyemekun Road, Akure, has been designated as the official State Secretariat of the movement.

In his address, Chief Ekungba called on all citizens — youths, women, and men alike — to join forces in ensuring massive voter mobilization for Tinubu’s re-election bid. He stressed that the movement is focused on unity and will not condone any internal divisions or rivalry that could weaken the APC’s position in the state.

“This is the only officially recognized Elders Movement operating under the directive of His Excellency, Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa. Any other group claiming affiliation without authorization is not endorsed by the Governor or the Steering Committee,” he warned.

With the 2027 general election drawing closer, the Ondo Elders Movement’s commitment signals an early and organized push for voter consolidation in support of President Tinubu’s second-term ambition — a move that could shape the political landscape in the Sunshine State.
