Anambra Election: PDP Candidate Jude Ezenwafor Pledges to Work with Governor Soludo for State’s Progress

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate in the recently concluded Anambra State governorship election, Jude Ezenwafor, has expressed his readiness to collaborate with Governor Chukwuma Soludo in advancing the state’s development agenda.

Speaking during an interview on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily on Monday, Ezenwafor said his relationship with Soludo extends far beyond the election period, describing it as both personal and professional. He explained that his focus is on progress and unity, not political rivalry, emphasizing that coopera
tion among leaders would yield greater benefits for the people of Anambra State.

“Politics should not divide us. I have known Governor Soludo for years, and I believe collaboration is the best way to move Anambra forward,” Ezenwafor stated.

He revealed that he played a role in encouraging Soludo’s political journey years ago, particularly during his own tenure as Senior Special Assistant to former Governor Willie Obiano, adding that his contributions have always been guided by a deep commitment to the state’s development rather than party loyalty.

Acknowledging that no administration is without criticism, Ezenwafor commended the Soludo-led government for its ongoing efforts to tackle security challenges across the state. He urged the governor to strengthen partnerships among security agencies and community leaders to ensure sustained peace and safety.

“Security is everyone’s business. The more the government engages stakeholders, the safer our communities will become,” he noted.

Ezenwafor also emphasized the importance of inclusive governance, advising the Soludo administration to maintain open channels with opposition parties, civil society groups, and community organizations. He believes such inclusivity will help foster political stability, encourage public trust, and drive collective development.

Concluding his remarks, the PDP candidate reaffirmed that governance—not politics—should now take center stage. He called on all political actors in Anambra to put the election behind them and work together for the good of the people.

“Elections come and go, but Anambra remains. The time for politics is over; now is the time for governance,” he declared.

Ezenwafor’s statement has been widely received as a gesture of goodwill, signaling a shift toward unity and cooperation in Anambra’s political landscape.
