2027: Ondo Women Say Tinubu’s Performance Sets Stage for Easy Re-Election

Women under the Asiwaju Mandate Group (AMG) in Ondo State say President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s record in office has already paved the road toward a smooth re-election bid in 2027.

At a women’s mobilisation programme held in Ondo town, the AMG Women’s Wing Coordinator, Yetunde Adeyanju, took the stage and laid it out plainly. In her view, the President’s push for economic revival, equitable development, and inclusion of women in governance is enough momentum to carry him into a second term without breaking a sweat.

Adeyanju, a former commissioner, said the administration’s investments in human capital and infrastructure have shifted the nation’s trajectory. According to her, the positive impact of these policies will continue unfolding as the country edges closer to the next general election.

She didn’t mince words:
“His achievements so far to move the nation forward will give him the second chance to govern the country successfully.”

Speaking to a crowd of women gathered for the mobilisation drive, she emphasized that the AMG is already deep in the trenches, rallying support across all 18 local government areas in Ondo State. She said the group’s mission is to educate, energize, and organize women voters ahead of 2027.

“Our mandate is to go to all local governments in Ondo State, mobilize our women, educate and sensitize them,” she stated.

Adeyanju noted that the programme itself was initiated by the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, as part of efforts to amplify the achievements of the Tinubu administration. She said the group is committed to delivering a sweeping victory for the President on the APC platform.

She also painted an optimistic picture of the economy, pointing to what she described as a downward trend in food prices.

“Two years ago, we were buying rice between N180,000 and N200,000. With the trend in the market now, within the next two years, we will be buying rice for less than N20,000. I’m convinced about it,” she said.

AMG Director-General Olumuyiwa Asagunla also addressed the gathering, backing up Adeyanju’s message with a call for continued grassroots engagement. He highlighted several government programmes—including the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND)—as examples of efforts aimed at improving lives across the country.

“What we are out for is to sensitize our people about the good works of our President through the Renewed Hope Agenda so that he can continue,” Asagunla said.

He described the administration as one committed to sector-wide development and urged Nigerians to support its continuity.

As the event wrapped up, the AMG leadership reaffirmed its commitment to mobilizing women across the South-West. Their goal: securing a decisive victory for President Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.
