1. President Tinubu Cuts Short France Vacation, Returns to Abuja

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is expected back in Abuja today, earlier than scheduled, according to his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga. The president, who has been on a working vacation in France, reportedly decided to shorten his stay as national issues mount at home.

2. Kidnapped Plateau Monarch Found Dead in the Bush

Tragedy struck in Kanam Local Government Area of Plateau State as the abducted Ward Head of Shuwaka, Mallam Hudu Hassan Barau, was discovered dead six days after his kidnap. His body was found in the bush on Monday morning, deepening fears over insecurity in rural Plateau communities.

3. Four Dead, Six Rescued in Lagos Building Collapse

A three-storey building collapsed on Bornu Street, Ebute Meta, Lagos, leaving at least four people dead and six others rescued alive. Officials of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) confirmed the incident, which once again raises concerns about building safety standards in the city.
